Contour your body by freezing unwanted fat away with no surgery and little to no downtime.
COOLSCULPT CERTIFIED PRACTICE
CoolSculpting® is an FDA approved, patented brand of cryolipolysis, or fat freezing. It is an in office, non-surgical procedure that, like liposuction, reduces fat cells, but without needles,
incisions, scars, or anesthesia! Using equipment developed by Harvard scientists, we gently
cool areas of unwanted fat to improve contours. Patients often spend procedure time reading,
listening to music, or simply relaxing.
Unlike with diet or exercise where the fat cells are reduced in size, with CoolSculpting®, once the treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good
• CoolSculpting technology uses controlled cooling (Cryolipolysis) to target, freeze, and kill only these fat cells.
• In the weeks to follow, these fat cells are naturally eliminated from the body.
• CoolSculpting results are long-term, as treated fat cells are gone for good.
What is the CoolSculpting Procedure?
The CoolSculpting Procedure is an FDA approved non-invasive way to gently and effectively reduce fat in targeted areas of your body, resulting in noticeable, natural-looking fat reduction in the treated areas. What makes the CoolSculpting Procedure different is its advanced cooling technology that targets and eliminates fat cells. Unlike traditional invasive surgical procedures, the CoolSculpting Procedure is non-invasive, with no needles and no incisions. There is no need for anesthesia and there is no recovery time. How does the CoolSculpting Procedure work?
The CoolSculpting Procedure works by means of a scientific principle called “Cryolipolysis™ invented by Drs. Manstein and Anderson at Harvard Medical School.” During the procedure, a non-invasive applicator delivers precisely controlled cooling to target and eliminate fat cells in specific areas of your body. When fat cells are exposed to cooling during the CoolSculpting Procedure, it triggers a process of natural removal, which gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer. The result is a reduction in fat bulges that is visible in most patients in two to four months. If you’ve considered liposuction, you may be a candidate for CoolSculpting. We prefer CoolSculpting over liposuction because we’ve been able to reduce unwanted fat cells while keeping smoother skin contours. It avoids the risks of surgery and anesthesia and costs much less. However, your body needs time to remove the fat cells. It takes two to three months to see the results. The following ‘after’ photos were taken three months after the proceedure.
Is there downtime after the CoolSculpting Procedure?
There could be mild bruising in some patients, but there is no recovery time after the Procedure. You may resume your normal activities on the same day as your procedure. Some find it best to wait a couple of days before starting to exercise if you have any residual discomfort.
Am I a good candidate for the CoolSculpting Procedure?
Ideal candidates for the CoolSculpting Procedure are within a healthy range of body weight, but have fat bulges that are not easily reduced through diet and exercise. They are seeking reduction for specific areas of fat, but are not considering a surgical procedure. The CoolSculpting Procedure is not a way to lose weight or treat obesity, and it is not a substitute for invasive methods like liposuction. During a consultation, your provider can talk with you about whether you are a good candidate for the CoolSculpting Procedure.
Will I benefit from additional CoolSculpting Procedures?
A follow-up visit should be scheduled with your doctor two to four months after your procedure to assess your cosmetic improvement and consider whether you can achieve greater fat reduction from additional CoolSculpting Procedures.
